Art is my passion.  I am an artist as well as an art appraiser. As an art educator, I taught studio art and art history, from the beginning of time to present day. As gallery director for Roanoke College for 14 years, I curated and juried exhibitions of artists from across southwestern Virginia, and served on criteria committees for museums in California and Virginia.

With 30 years of experience, I have provided appraisals for private collectors and museums such as the Taubman Museum in Roanoke and the Ackland Museum at Chapel Hill, and for educational and religious institutions such as Hollins University, Virginia Tech, Roanoke College, Sweetbriar College and Faith Christian School in Roanoke, and religious institutions such as St. Andrews Catholic Church in Roanoke and Temple Agudath Sholom in Lynchburg.  My corporate clients have included  R.R. Donnelley and LSC Communications.

My services include appraisals for insurance scheduling, charitable contribution, and estate settlement . These appraisals are legal documents, and I am in compliance with USPAP, The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice . USPAP is recognized as the ethical and performance standard for the appraisal profession in the United States, adopted by Congress in 1989.

If you’re just curious about the value of a work of art you own, or if you are considering re-sale, I can help you with that. My fees are structured upon the type of appraisal you need.

You can use the Contact Me Form to let me know your appraisal needs. I would be happy to help with your questions!
